Auger End MountsAuger End Mounts
1. Extend the screed extensions completely and
open the Under Auger Material Cutoffs. (You can
remove the rear auger cover if you like, but it isn’t
necessary.)
2. Remove the auger end mounts. (Figure 5-37 on
the previous page.)
3. Remove upper end mount bolts.
4. Loosen the two set screws on the auger end mount
collar, then slide the end mount and collar off the
auger shaft.
5. Replace with new end mount, retighten set screws,
then reinstall auger cover (if applicable).
Auger MotorsAuger Motors
1. Follow Steps 1 - 3 on the previous page.
2. Slide the long screw through the bolt side of the
chain to prevent it from falling down into the cover.
Once chain is secure, remove the bolt holding the
sprocket.
3. Hold the sprocket at the chain as you slide out the
motor.
4. Remove the sprocket from the chain.
5. Slide off the sprocket and remove the auger motor
mount.
6. Place the new auger motor onto the mount.
7. Reinsert the sprocket back onto the chain.
8. Reinsert the motor.
9. Cover bolts with thread-locking adhesive, reinsert
and tighten.
10. Adjust the chain for 1/4 inches of slack.
11. Lubricate with chain lube.
12. Reconnect the hydraulic hoses and check for leaks.
Hopper Wing CylinderHopper Wing Cylinder
1. Retract hopper wings completely.
2. Secure closed wing so it will not fall open after
cylinder is disconnected.
3. Disconnect the cylinder hydraulic hose and cap.
4. Remove clevis pins and bolts from the cylinder to
release it. (Figure 5-39)
5. Align and slide new cylinder onto the bottom mount
rst.
6. Install bolt and clevis pin.
7. Align top of the new cylinder onto the top mount.
Install bolt and clevis pin.
8. Clean hydraulic hose and reconnect to the cylinder.
