1. Remove tie-down equipment.
2. Start and warm up engine.
3. BEFORE moving the machine, ensure:
• The screed is raised with extensions retracted.
• Any auger extensions are removed.
• The Under Auger Material Cut-off below the
auger is CLOSED.
4. Set paver to low gear.
5. Move paver forward down the ramp.

The paver must be loaded screed-end

1. Raise the screed.
2. Back paver to base of the ramp. Line up tracks with
the ramp.
3. BEFORE moving the machine, ensure:
• The screed is raised with extensions retracted.
• Any auger extensions are removed.
• The Under Auger Material Cut-off below the
auger is CLOSED.
4. Set paver to low gear.
5. SLOWLY back paver up the ramp, positioning paver
in center of trailer.
6. Lower the screed.
7. Shut down the engine.
8. Attach tie-down chains as described in the next
section.
9. Ensure that all chains are tightly secured before
transporting the paver.
Tie-Down ProcedureTie-Down Procedure
1. Position paver in center of the trailer. (Figure 4-59)
2. Attach tie-down chains to the front weight block and
the D-Rings in front of the torque hubs.
3. Place chocks at front and rear of tracks.
4. Ensure that all chains are tightly secured before
transporting the paver.
