The menu item 'Tag id' displays the tag ID when a cow is present in the
concentrate feeder and the value 1 if the cow is detected by the
(optional) photocell (see page 7-6).
The menu 'Valves/Blocker' is used to test the correct operation of the
valves (see page 7-6).
• 'Valve 1', to supply one portion of feed type 1.
• 'Valve 2', to supply one portion of feed type 2 (if present).
• 'Valve 3', to supply one portion of feed type 3 (if present).
• 'Valve 4', to supply one portion of feed type 4 (if present).
• 'Valve 5' is not applicable.
• 'Blocker' is not applicable.
The menu-item 'IDC Power level' is used to set the threshold value for
detection of the antenna signal (only Qwes leg reader). If the distance
between the tag and the reader is too large and therefore the signal is
too low for correct identification, the signal is suppressed; 2 is most
sensitive, 0 less sensitive.
The default value is 1 (approx. 30 cm or 11.8 in).
The menu ‘mbox testing’ is used to test if the M-box can be opened and
closed.
In the menu ’mbox testing’ it is not possible to stop te M-box when it is
moving up or down if the concentrate feeder has a pneumatic cylinder.
4.5.2.5 Setup
Menu ‘Setup’ has the following submenus:
• Calibrate weigh unit.
• Clear All Tables.
• Calibrate Valves.
• Empty Feedbin Value.
The menu ‘Calibrate weigh unit’ is not applicable.
The menu ‘Clear All Tables’ is used to clear the memory of the ADS3830
PCB. Information about visiting cows and their indications is primarily
stored on the ADS3830 PCB (see page 4-6). The data is also synchronized
with the data in T4C (see page 4-13). If you install the concentrate feeder
or a new ADS3830 PCB, the data on that board must be replaced by the
data in T4C.
The menu ‘Calibrate Valves’ is used to adjust the supplied feed doses to
the indicated amount (see page 7-4).
