Error Number Error Condition

Lower Limit Switch Operated
If the crosshead actuator bar is not against a limit stop, check that the limit
switch rod is free and check the wiring to the switch

Safeline Open
Check that the yellow safe-line button is not lit - if so, press the button.
Check the wiring to the safe-line button

No Loadcell Connected
If a loadcell is connected, check that the external loadcell cable is connected to
the socket on the rear of the machine and also check this cable by substitution.
Also try another loadcell (if available)

Splinter Shield Open
If a splinter shield is not fitted, check that a link is fitted across CN5 on the
Motor Drive PCB. If a splinter shield is fitted, check the switch and the wiring

Loadcell Overload
Load has exceeded the loadcell capacity by 15%

Compression Safety Overload
The displayed compressive load has exceeded the "jog Load" value

Frame Overload
Load has exceeded the frame capacity by 15% - This can only occur if a large
capacity loadcell is used, e.g. a 5kN loadcell on an LS1

Grip Overload
Load has exceeded the user defined grip capacity

Drive System Error
Crosshead is not in the expected position - This may be caused by a faulty
encoder

Accessory Connected/Disconnected
This can occur if an extensometer is connected/disconnected during a test

Extensometer Range Exceeded

Wrong Loadcell for the selected Machine Stiffness compensation

Tension Loadcell Overload
Load has exceeded the loadcell capacity by 20% and this has been recorded in
the loadcell EEPROM

Compression Loadcell Overload
Load has exceeded the loadcell capacity by 20% and this has been recorded in
the loadcell EEPROM

Stop Key Pressed
