12.3 Setting the Machine Type and Serial Number
This procedure is only required during initial installation or if the Motor Drive PCB has been
replaced.
1 Press the key under > to display the second diagnostic screen.

2 Press the key under MACHINE SETUP to display the "Setup Machine" screen.

Number Identity Units Machine

3 Press the key under SERIAL NUMBER to enter the Serial Number.
Change or Accept machine serial number

4 Enter the required Serial Number using the keypad then press the ENTER key to store
the value into EEPROM on the Motor Drive PCB.
5 Press the key under MACHINE IDENTITY to select the Machine Type.

6 The < and > keys scroll through list of machine types applicable to the embedded code
Version. Select the required machine then press the ENTER key to store the value.
Note that the FT1 requires different embedded code than the other machine types.
Also note that the machine will reboot so the Diagnostic mode will need to be
selected again if required.
