LS SERIES SERVICE MANUAL
ISSUE 4.0 FULL CONTROL CONSOLE DIAGNOSTICS 6
10 Press the key under VIEW LOAD READINGS to display the "View Load Readings" screen.
View Load Readings
Load 1.63N
Absolute 0.45N
ADC Output -48
11 Check that the "ADC Output" Value is less than +/- 5000. This is +/- 5% of the loadcell
value. A higher value than this indicates that the loadcell bridge is not electrically
balanced and this may be caused by an overload or other physical damage.
12 Make a note of the "ADC Output" Value displayed on this screen, e.g. -48 in the example
screen shown above.
13 Press the ENTER key to exit this screen.
14 Press the key under CAL POINTS to display the "Loadcell Calibration Point" screen.
Load Cell Calibration Point 1 of X
True -131072 1250.00N
Measured -131072 1250.00N
< >
15 Repeatedly press the key under > until the True value shows 0N.
Load Cell Calibration Point x of X
True 0 0.00N
Measured 120 1.14N
< > Delete
16 The first number displayed for the Measured Value shows the offset that was stored
during the last loadcell calibration and this is 120 in the example screen shown above.
17 Compare this "Measured" Value with the previously noted "ADC Output" Value.
18 The difference in these ADC values is the loadcell "Zero Drift" that has occurred since the
last calibration and this is 168 in the example screens shown above. This drift should be
small noting that if it is more than approximately +/- 1000, the loadcell may show poor
repeatability.
19 Note that if a loadcell overload has occurred or the zero drift is excessive, then the
loadcell may not achieve the required accuracy during calibration.
20 Press the ENTER key three times to return to the Diagnostic screen.
