LS SERIES SERVICE MANUAL
ISSUE 4.0 DIAGNOSTIC MODES 5
5 The following menu will be displayed on the screen:-
System self test:
options:
r - run loopback test
v - display voltages
m - menu
6 Press "v" (lower case) to run the voltage test which displays a list of voltages as shown
below where ch[0] etc indicates the multiplexer input channel number. Note that the text
shown on the right identifies the voltages but is not displayed on the screen.
Voltages:
ch[0] = 5.0067V 5V Supply
ch[1] = 4.0070V 4V Reference Voltage
ch[2] = 0.0000V Not Used
ch[3] = 0.0000V Not Used
ch[4] = -0.0003V Not Used
ch[5] = 3.9981V Loadcell Excitation
ch[6] = 7.3532V +ve Power Supply / 2
ch[7] = -0.0037V Loadcell Amplifier Output
ch[8] = -0.0003V Ground Reference
ch[9] = -0.0079V Not Used
ch[10] = 0.3635V Not Used
ch[11] = 0.3534V Analogue Extensometer Signal
ch[12] = 4.0073V Not Used
ch[13] = 4.0073V Not Used
ch[14] = -0.0064V Not Used
ch[15] = -7.3007V -ve Power Supply / 2
7 If the marked voltages shown above are correct, then the Power Supplies and the ADC are
working correctly. If the voltages are incorrect, remove the lower cover and measure them
with a DC voltmeter as shown in the tables listed in the Fault Finding section.
8 If the voltages measured with a DC voltmeter are correct, then the Main PCB is faulty and
must be replaced.
9 Close the Windows Hyperterminal program.
