Factor = Actual Extension
Displayed Extension
e.g. if the actual extension is 50.07mm and the displayed extension is 50.00mm, then the
correction factor is 50.07 / 50 = 0.9986.
9 If the error is to be corrected, move to the Enter Bit Scale screen and note the bit scale.
10 Multiply the original BIT SCALE value by the calculated correction factor then enter this
calculated value as the BIT SCALE.
e.g. if the bit scale is 0.0078 and the correction factor is 0.9986 then the new bit scale is
0.0078 * 0.9986 = 0.00778908.
11 Recheck the extension display and apply further corrections if required.
