BURNER OPERATION

Temperature Sensor Not
Working Correctly
1. Dirty temperature contact
shoe.
• Check/clean as necessary. Refer to
Check and Clean Temperature Sensor
Contact Shoes on page 4-4
2. Temperature contact shoe
not resting squarely on
cylinder.
• Check/correct alignment.
3. Temperature contact shoe
is worn.
• Replace. Refer to Temperature Sensor
Contact Shoe Replacement on page
7-33.
Flames Coming From Ends of
Ironing Cylinder
1. Burner tips are clogged or a
burner tip has come out.
• Refer to Burner Tip Maintenance on
page 7-32.
2. Gas supply to the burner is
too low when the main gas
valve opens.
• Check the gas pressure when the main
valve opens. Refer to Gas Connection
Checkout on page 2-20.
3. Burner gas valve is leaking. • Inspect the burner gas valve and tighten
or replace, if necessary.
4. Flames come out briefly
during ignition.
• Refer to Flame Does Not Travel Down
the Entire Length of the Burner on
page 6-13.
5. If the flames come out for
a longer period of time, the
gas pressure is wrong.
• Refer to Gas Connection Checkout on
page 2-20
Excessive Wear on Tempera-

1. Chrome ironing cylinder
needs waxing.
