WARNING

sure that the power is disconnected
before doing any repairs.
BURNER OPERATION
ISSUE POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Temperature Sensor Not
Working Correctly
1. Dirty temperature contact
shoe.
Check/clean as necessary. Refer to
Check and Clean Temperature Sensor
Contact Shoes on page 4-4
2. Temperature contact shoe
not resting squarely on
cylinder.
Check/correct alignment.
3. Temperature contact shoe
is worn.
Replace. Refer to Temperature Sensor
Contact Shoe Replacement on page
7-33.
Flames Coming From Ends of
Ironing Cylinder
1. Burner tips are clogged or a
burner tip has come out.
Refer to Burner Tip Maintenance on
page 7-32.
2. Gas supply to the burner is
too low when the main gas
valve opens.
Check the gas pressure when the main
valve opens. Refer to Gas Connection
Checkout on page 2-20.
3. Burner gas valve is leaking. Inspect the burner gas valve and tighten
or replace, if necessary.
4. Flames come out briefly
during ignition.
Refer to Flame Does Not Travel Down
the Entire Length of the Burner on
page 6-13.
5. If the flames come out for
a longer period of time, the
gas pressure is wrong.
Refer to Gas Connection Checkout on
page 2-20
Excessive Wear on Tempera-
ture Sensor Contact Shoes
1. Chrome ironing cylinder
needs waxing.
Refer to Waxing on page 3-7.
