Check Safety Equipment
Perform only when the unit is
RUNNING and COOL.
Use Extreme Caution.
The machine should never be operated without
all safety guards in place and all safety devices
working properly.
Check that all four red safety STOP buttons,
and the red safety finger guard all bring the
operation of the machine to a complete halt. For
more information, refer to
Start-Up on page
3-6.
NOTE: Repair any faulty safety
devices before continuing to
operate the unit.
Wax Ironing Cylinder
Perform only when the unit is
RUNNING and HOT.
Use Extreme Caution.
Daily waxing of the ironing cylinder is
necessary to produce a finer flatwork finish,
to prolong return ribbon life, to prevent the
fl atwork from sticking to the ironing cylinder,
and to protect the temperature contact shoes
from excessive wear. Note that chrome ironing
cylinders may require less frequent waxing.
