Assigning alarm signals to relays on the IRC4 card
CONFIGURATION OF AMC8 / IOC8T CARDS
10.9Assigning alarm signals to relays on the IRC4 card
Unlike the RLC16 card, the local relays on the IRC4 are configured entirely under software
control, using the IRC4 Configurator software. That is, there are no jumpers that need to be
set on the IRC4 card (see Figure 12-1). Nevertheless the jumpers on the IOC4T card still
need to be configured manually.
The mapping of the OC and Raw buses in the VM600 MPSx software is made using an
RLC16 card that acts as an IRC4 card in order to create the configuration file (*.rck file).
This file, along with an Excel
®
file (*.xls file) containing the logic equations, is used by the
IRC4 Configurator software to map the relays.
Refer to the IRC4 Configurator for intelligent relay cards software manual for further
information on how to configure (map) the relays on an IRC4 card.
