5. Repeat alignment procedure until the alignment tool slides freely with normal force all the way
into and out of engine coupler splines. Do not turn the alignment tool.

IMPORTANT: Finished boat stringer must position engine so that a minimum mount adjustment
exists after front mount is adjusted down to stringer. This allows for future adjustments.
6. For center‑mount models, complete the following:
a. Set the engine on the stringer.
b. Relieve the hoist tension.
c. Attach the hoist to the center alignment eye.
d. Fasten front mount to the stringer.
e. Recheck alignment.
f. Tighten locknut and jam nut securely.

IMPORTANT: Adjust both front engine mount adjustment nuts equally to align the engine.
7. For side‑mount models, complete the following:
a. Adjust the front engine mounts until they rest on the boat stringers.
b. Relieve hoist tension entirely and fasten both front mounts to the boat stringer using
appropriate hardware.
