Throttle Cable Installation and Adjustment
1. Place the remote control handles in neutral.
IMPORTANT: Route the cable to avoid sharp bends or contact with moving parts. Do not fasten
any items to the throttle cable. The outer cable must be free to move.
2. Adjust the cable so that it can be placed on both studs simultaneously.
3. Place the cable over the studs. Do not adjust the cable after installation.
4. Secure the throttle cable with hardware as shown. Tighten until nut contacts, then loosen for
1/2 a turn. Do not overtighten.
5. Place the remote control throttle lever in the wide open throttle position. Ensure that the throttle
body shutters are completely open.
6. Return the remote control throttle lever to the idle position and ensure that the throttle lever
contacts the idle speed adjustment screw.
