Faults without diagnostic message

Symptom Cause Solution
• The sealing force is not suffi-
cient.
• Without the inert gas option:
check settings. Sufficient seal-
ing force is only achieved if
the target pressure target
value is set under 400 mbar.
• Inert gas option: Increase the
pressure on the gas cylinder,
and then gradually increase
the sealing force on the seal-
ing pressure regulator.
• Sealing bar damaged. • Replace sealing bar.
• The set pressure target value
is not achieved (e.g. product
contains water).
• Set a higher pressure target
value.
• Chamber lid gasket is dirty. • Clean the chamber lid gasket.
• Insufficient oil quantity or oil in
the vacuum pump is too old.
• Fill or replace oil.
• Chamber lid gasket is dam-
aged.
• Notify MULTIVAC Service.
Pressure target value is
not reached.
• Evacuation system is leaking. • Notify MULTIVAC Service.
• Air de-oiling element is defec-
tive.
• Change air de-oiling element. Odour or smoke.
• Oil return valve of vacuum
pump is blocked.
• Notify MULTIVAC Service.
