4 Operation
4.1 Switching on the machine
¾ Open all stop valves in the supply lines.
¾ If available, switch on the main switch.
¾ Switch on the display with the <control on/off> key.
– The machine control performs a self-test.
– The software version of the machine control briefly appears in
the display.
– The status display appears.
– The machine is ready for operation.
4.2 Switching off the machine
¾ Switch off the display with the <control on/off> key.
¾ Turn off the main switch, if one is present.
¾ Close all stop valves in the supply lines.
¾ Close chamber lid and lock it in place.
¾ If required disconnect the machine from the mains electricity.
4.3 Packing products
¾ Switch on the machine.
¾ Load the desired recipe.
¾ For the first test packs, use a preset recipe, see Section 2.8
"PRESET RECIPES " and see Section 4.8.2 "LOAD FACTORY SET-
TINGS ".

Insufficient or sporadic cleaning can promote the growth of micro-
organisms which can contaminate the product.
This can pose serious health hazards for consumers.
¾ Disinfect your hands should they come into contact with any
machine part other than the operating elements.
¾ Do NOT lay the product on the machine.
¾ Observe the company cleaning guidelines.
¾ Follow instructions in the chapter 'Cleaning'.
