JPEG
Compression
This sets the compression rate used when performing
color scanning with the JPEG file format.
Low: Decreases the compression rate. This option
reduces image degradation, but the data size will
be larger.
Normal: Normal compression rate.
High: Suppresses the data size and shortens the
forwarding time, but increases the level of image
degradation.

Specifying Default E-mail Transmission Settings
You can change the default Internet Fax and Scan to E-Mail settings. For information on
the items and settings that can be specified, refer to “List of Default E-mail Settings” (see
page 7-45), “List of Default Internet Fax Settings” (see page 7-45), and “List of Default
Template Settings” (see page 7-46).
Setting Example
Here the procedure for changing the default file format used when attaching a scanned
document to an e-mail for transmission (Scan to E-Mail) is described as an example.
