Fuel Pump Logic
The fuel pump logic is used to start and stop the fuel supply pump to maintain the fuel
level in the service tank at predefined levels. The start and stop limits are detected from
one of the three multi-inputs.
Set points available in parameter 6550–6554:
Setpoint 1: Start level.
Setpoint 2: Stop level.
Delay
If the fuel level has not increased by 2% within this delay, a Fuel fill
alarm will be raised.
Output A (OA)
The relay to be used for control of the fuel pump. The selected relay
activates below the start limit and deactivates above the stop level.
The multi-input (RMI) to be used for the fuel level sensor.
The fail class of the Fuel fill alarm.
NOTE: The fuel pump relay can be activated via M-logic.
NOTE: The output relay should be configured as a limit relay,
otherwise, an alarm will be raised whenever the output is activated.
The following drawing shows how the fuel pump is activated when the level reaches
20% and stopped again when the level has reached 80%.
