To change the LCD Backlight Timeout
You can adjust the timeout of the LCD backlight on your phone. You can specify a
value between 0 (None) to 255 seconds.
1 Press the Menu key.
2 Select 3 User Settings.

4 The default backlight timeout, in seconds, for your system is shown. To change the
timeout, press the Delete Soft Key and use the telephone keypad to enter new backlight
timeout.

5 Press Enter b on the cursor pad or the OK Soft Key to accept the setting.
You can also press the Cancel Soft Key to exit without making any changes.
Note: Setting the Backlight Timeout to 0 (zero) disables the timeout, and the LCD
Backlight will remain lit at all times.
To enable an external headset
Note: There is no connector for a headset on the ITL-2E phones.
1 Connect the headset to the phone:
a. Insert the headset cord plug into the HEADSET connector on the back of the phone,
until you hear a click.
b. Thread the cord through the groove, as shown in the figure below.
