NOTE: For IP-CS, the synchronization channel and the voice channel are allocated to the communica-
tion slot 0-3 as shown below.
Communication Slot 0: For synchronization channel (1ch)
Communication Slot 1: For voice channel (1ch)
Communication Slot 2: For voice channel (1ch)
Communication Slot 3: For voice channel (1ch)
When Master IP-CS synchronizes with a Legacy CS that has different SYS-ID from the Master
IP-CS, a Master IP-CS synchronization channel is allocated to a communication slot according
to a slot of the synchronizing destination, Legacy CS. In case of that the Legacy CS uses one of
slot 1-3 as a slot for synchronization channel, available slots of Master IP-CS for voice channel
are 2 slots.
In the following cases, synchronization channel is allocated to slot 0 and available slots for
voice channel are 3 slots.
• When Master IP-CS synchronizes with an IP-CS that has different SYS-ID from the Master IP-
CS
• Master IP-CS operates by itself as a stand-alone CS
• IP-CS is a Slave IP-CS
