WIRELESS SYNCHRONIZATION OF IP-CS
Each IP-CS should be overlapped its radio zone to each other in order to provide wireless synchronization.
Followings show conditions when placing the IP-CS.
(1) Type of IP-CS
There are following IP-CS types specified by the CMAD Y=28 to provide the wireless synchroniza-
tion.
Master IP-CS
Master IP-CS is a destination IP-CS for a Slave IP-CS to synchronize with.
Master IP-CS detects and synchronizes with the IP-CS/legacy CS that has different SYS-ID from
Master IP-CS (specified by the CMAD Y=22), the IP-CS/legacy CS that has the same SYS-ID and
has already provided wireless synchronization. When the Master IP-CS failed to detect the synchro-
nizing destination, it operates as a stand-alone CS and becomes a synchronizing destination for the
Slave IP-CS.
Submaster IP-CS
Submaster IP-CS operates as a Master IP-CS only when the Master IP-CS stops. Usually Submaster
IP-CS operates as a Slave IP-CS. Submaster IP-CS should be placed to adjoin the Master IP-CS.
Slave IP-CS
Slave IP-CS synchronizes with other Slave IP-CS/legacy CS or Master IP-CS that the wireless syn-
chronization has already provided. Slave IP-CS can synchronize only with IP-CS/legacy CS that has
the same SYS-ID.
