Operatingthemachineinhighaltitude
Airdensitydecreasesasaltitudeorambienttemperature
increases.
Asaresultofthis,theengine’smaximumoutput,quality
ofexhaustgas,temperatureleveland,inextremecases,
startingbehavior,areimpaired.
Enginecanbeusedataltitudesupto3000m(9842ft)and
temperaturesupto50°C(122°F)formobileoperations.
Iftheengineistooperateundermoresevereconditions
(athigheraltitudesortemperatures),itwillbenecessary
toreducetheinjectedfuelquantitywiththeresultingloss
ofenginepower.
Observethefollowingrecommendations:

Maintainthecorrectcoolantlevelinthecoolant
reservoir.
•
Checktheconditionofthecoolerplugbeforestart-
ingandreplaceitifnecessary.
•
Carefullycleanthecoolerandtheengine.
•
Checktheconditionofthealternatorbeltandengine
fanbelt.
•
Uselubricantswiththerecommendeddegreeofvis-
cosity.
•
Useanappropriatecoolant.
