Nevertransportthemachinewithoutthebackhoe
inthetransportpositionwiththeswinglockpinin-
stalled.

Incorrecttowingprocedurescancauseaccidents.
Whentowingadisabledmachine,followtheproce-
dureinthismanual.Useonlyrigidtowbars.

Whenabsolutelynecessarytotowthemachine,do
notexceedtherecommendedtowingspeed.Be
surethetowingmachinehassufcientbrakingca-
pacitytostopthetowedload.Ifthetowedmachine
cannotbebraked,atowbarmustbeusedortwo
towingmachinesmustbeused-oneinfrontpulling
andoneinthereartoactasabrake.Avoidtowing
overlongdistances.

Lockthebrakepedalstogetherwhenroadingtopro-
videequalizedbrakeapplication.
•
Liftimplementsandattachmentshighenough
abovegroundtopreventaccidentalcontactwith
road.

Beawareofoverheadstructuresorpowerlines
andmakesurethemachineand/orattachments
canpasssafelyunder.

Travelspeedshouldbesuchthatcompletecontrol
andmachinestabilityismaintainedatalltimes.

Slowdownandsignalbeforeturning.

Pullovertoallowfastertrafctopass.
•
Useapproveddrawbarand/orattachmentpoint,(if
equipped),ifusingyourmachinetotowanotherma-
chine.Ifacableorchainisused,keeppeopleaway
fromthetowline.

Followcorrecttowingprocedureforequipmentwith
orwithoutbrakes.
