Paintallsurfacesofthemachinewherethepaintworkis
damaged,toavoidrust.
Checkthemachineforwornordamagedpartsandreplace
asnecessary.
Lubricatethemachineanddrainthetransmission,hy-
draulicoiltank,rearaxleandengineandrellwiththe
correctgradesofoil.
Checktheradiatorcoolantlevel.Ifthemachineiswithin
100hoursbeforethescheduledmaintenanceafter2000
hours,orwithin2monthsbeforethemaintenancesched-
uledafter2years,performtheprescribedmaintenanceop-
erations.
Operatetheloaderattachmentsothatallitscylindersare
infullyretractedpositionandrestthebucketonablockof
wood.
Placethebackhoeattachmentintheroadtravelposition.
Stoptheengineandoperateallthehydrauliccontrolsto
releaseallresidualpressurefromthehydrauliccircuits.
Coattheexposedportionsofthecylinderrodsandcontrol
valvespoolswithgrease.
Removethebatteryfromthemachineandstoreit.
Placeblocksundertheaxlestoremovetheweightfromthe
tires.
Covertheexhaustpipeopening.
Performtheengineprotectionoperations.

Iftheengineistobeleftunusedforalongtime,itisneces-
sarytoconserveitbymeansofspecicproductsagainst
rustformation.
Cleantheenginewithahigh-pressuredevice.
Taketheenginetotheoperatingpressure,thenstopit.
Draintheengineoilandllinanti-corrosiveoil.
Drainfuelfromthetank.
Produceamixtureof90%dieselfueland10%anticorro-
siveoilandllthetankwithit.
Lettheenginerunforapproximately10min.
Stoptheengine.
Manuallyrotatetheengineseveraltimesforcylinderand
combustionchamberpreservation.
Disassemblethebeltsandstorethempacked.
