About This Guide
This guide provides information and procedures for how to install and configure the Nokia IP40
Security Platform. This guide provides information about the new features incorporated into the
Nokia IP40. This version of Nokia IP40 uses the SofaWare VPN-1 Embedded NG. For a quick
reference on how to configure features in Nokia IP40, see the Nokia IP40 Security Platform
Quick Start Guide and Nokia IP40 Security Platform Online Help, part of the graphical user
interface (GUI) in the appliance.
Installation and maintenance should be performed by experienced technicians or Noki-approved
service providers only.
