1.1.1 Functions of Units
CPU unit
Serial communication unit
Two communication
cassettes can be attached.

Removable serial communication cassettes are used.
● Selectable from five communication cassettes in conformity with communication standards of
RS-232C, RS-422 and RS-485. (Sold separately)
● One communication cassette can be attached to the CPU unit, and two communication
cassettes to the serial communication unit.

The CPU unit includes a COM.0 port as standard equipment.
The CPU unit includes a RS-232C port (3-wire type) for the connection with a programmable
display and a power supply as standard equipment.

Four communication modes are available.
The PC link, MEWTOCOL, MODBUS RTU and general-purpose communication modes are
provided, and many serial communication devices can be connected by the combination of
communication cassettes.
