8. Preparing the Phenom for transport
Follow the below procedure in case the Phenom needs to be sent back for maintenance or
repair or if the rental period has ended.
8.1 Return procedure
R
eturn the Phenom in the wooden crate in which it arrived.
If you do not have the original Phenom packaging anymore and/or need asistance in
arranging transport contact Phenom-World’s Customer Support.
8.2 Prepare for packing
The following procedure can also be found on the packaging instructions inside the flight case.
1 Unload the sample container. For this, refer to chapter 4.9 ‘Unloading the sample’.
2 Close the door.
3 Touch Shutdown to prepare the Phenom for complete switch off. For this, refer to
chapter 5.7.2 ‘Shutdown’.
> The Phenom now starts preparing for complete switch off. This will take
approximately 40 minutes.
> A timer on the Image screen counts down the time.
> After approximately 40 minutes the message ‘It is now safe to turn of your system’.
4 Now you can set the 0 / I switch on the power supply to 0 and safely disconnect all
system components.
