PIAGGIO MP3 400 i.e. - Removing the Flywheel Cover Components

- Remove the oil filter using a filter tape or shaped
cup wrench.
- Loosen the 14 fastening screws.
- Remove the flywheel cover with the relevant gas-
ket and the cooling system sleeve support.
N.B.
THE SCREWS ARE OF 4 DIFFERENT
LENGTHS. NOTE THE RELEVANT POSITIONS.
CAUTION
REMOVE THE COVER AVOIDING ANY POSSIBLE INTERFERENCE BETWEEN STATOR AND
ROTOR.
CAUTION
BE CAREFUL TO PREVENT SLIPPAGE OF THE BY-PASS VALVE AND OF THE RELEVANT
SPRING.
Removing the flywheel cover components
- Loosen the six mounting screws and remove the
water pump cover.
