TO AVOID DAMAGING THE SCREW CONTROL HEXAGON, IT IS PREFERABLE TO USE AN IN-
SIDE HEXAGON SOCKET WRENCH.
Locking torques (N*m)
Gear mounting on crankshaft screws 10 -12
- Lubricate the main bearing on the flywheel side
half-crankcase.
- Lubricate the shim adjustment washer.
- Insert the shim adjustment washer on the crank-
shaft in its original position.
- Insert the special timing tool in the hole on the
countershaft.
Specific tooling
020471Y Pin for countershaft timing
- Insert the crankshaft on the pin and into the bush-
ing.
- Before inserting thoroughly, make the oil pump
gear align with the control gear.
- Insert thoroughly and remove the special tool.
N.B.
WHEN INSERTING THE SHAFT ON THE HALF-CRANKCASE, BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE
THE MAIN BEARING WITH THE THREADED TANG OF THE CRANKSHAFT AND WITH THE TIM-
ING CONTROL TOOTHED PINION.
- Install the oil pump closing plate.
- Tighten the 2 flanged fastening screws to the
prescribed torque.
