- Remove and wash the rotors thoroughly with pet-
rol and compressed air.
- Extract the shaft with its gear and check that it is
in good working order and free from wear.
- Reassemble the rotors in the pump body, keep-
ing the two reference marks visible
- Insert the shaft with the gear and install the lock
ring; then, turn it with the opening opposed to the
shaft face.
- Check any irregular clearance between shaft and
pump body.
- Using a thickness gauge, check the distance be-
tween the rotors in the position shown in the figure.

0.012 mm
