For Alarm 2 select Activated and select an output for the alarm.
With ALARM 1 an alarm is output when the front screen of the safety laser scanner is
dirty (CLEANW1 is shown on the display of the safety laser scanner).
With ALARM 2 an alarm is output when a device error has occurred.
For the first OSSD pair, select: Muting = Activated and Override status = Activated.
Select an output for Override status.
5. Select Automatic Reset = Activated for this safety laser scanner when an error state
is detected and an automatic reset is to be performed.
6. Click on the arrow . The next window Configure zone sets is opened.
7. Select Zone set = 3. Enter the input delay.
The pins are automatically assigned to the zone sets by PSENscan Configurator. The
assignment can be changed manually.
Note when mapping manually: Zone sets where a 0 or 1 is entered for all the zone
switching, are not permitted.
Automatic coding using PSENscan Configurator
Click for automatic coding of zone sets
Select Encoder = Activated. The inputs for the encoders are automatically selected.
Enter with Encoder Δ [%] the max. deviation from rated speed in %.
For the relevant encoder, enter in Encoder 1 [p/cm] and Encoder 2 [p/cm] the num-
ber of measured values per centimetre of rotation.
For each zone set, set the Speed range to cm/s.
Click on the arrow . The next window Input configuration is opened.
8. In the first safety zone, for Restart select the value Manual and assign a pin to the
manual restart.
For Restart select the value Automatic in the second safety zone and define the re-
start time (min. 80ms).
