Save the report in PDF format.
Click Reject to reject the downloaded configuration in the connected device and con-
tinue to use the existing configuration on the connected device. The downloaded con-
figuration in the connected device will be deleted.
9.3.3 Example for a 17+8-pin connection
Settings in PSENscan Configurator for a safety laser scanner with 17+8‑pin connection:
Vertical application with reference outline monitoring, 2 OSSD pairs, muting and override
for the first OSSD pair, 3 zone sets, no warning output, an alarm, manual restart
Prerequisites
} The safety laser scanner is already connected to the 17-pin and the 8-pin male con-
nector.
Procedure:
1. From the start page, select Create new configuration.
The window Device selection is displayed with one tab each Online and Overview of
all types.
2. Select the connected device from Overview of all types. Double-click the device.
The device is displayed in the work window and it can be configured.
3. Under Application, select the application VERTICAL and 17+8-pin connection.
Configuration
You can enter a title for the configuration under Name.
You can enter the name of the person who created the configuration under Author.
You can describe the configuration in detail under Description.
The Configurator Version is entered by the system and cannot be changed.
The Check sum is entered by the system and cannot be changed.
The Creation date is entered by the system and cannot be changed.
Device
You can enter a title for the connected device under Name.
Safety laser scanner arrangement
You can enter a title for the safety laser scanner arrangement under Name.
You can enter names for the devices in the safety laser scanner arrangement under
Device.
Click on the arrow . The next window Output configuration. The number of OSSD
pairs is already preset with 1x2.
4. Select Warning zone = 0.
If Warning zone = 0, the warning zone is activated. One of the outputs is automatically
set to No function.
The pins 8 and 13 are reserved for the first OSSDpair and they cannot be changed.
For OSSD, select 2x2. Two of the remaining outputs are reserved for the second OSSD
pair.
