30. Attach the Shrouds
The S3.55 has six shrouds. One shroud (Rear Shroud)
has already been installed. The remaining shroud
installations (Front Shroud, Press Arm Shroud, Weight
Stack Shroud, Weight Stack Top Shroud, and Rear
Cover) are explained in the following steps.
A. Clear access to the front of the Main Frame by
releasing the Press Arm and moving it into a
horizontal position.
B. Pull the Row Arm forward and disengage the
magnet. Insert the Weight Stack Pin in the Selector
Stem to secure the Top Cap Weight and produce
slack in the Row Arm Cable.
C. Move the Seat Back into an upright position.
D. Carefully, maneuver the Front Shroud into position
on the Main Frame.
E. Attach it to the Main Frame using
four ½-inch buttonhead bolts (blue patch)
four washers
Note: Secure the top two fasteners first and then,
work your way down to the base. Wrench tighten.
F. Position the Press Arm Shroud above the Front
Shroud and secure it to the Main Frame using
four ⁵⁄₈-inch self-tapping screws.
Note: Tighten the three fasteners on the right side
of the shroud before tightening the three fasteners
on the left side.
Step 30. Attach the Shrouds
