Prontonet User’s Manual v410 91
V.7 About how the Decoder works and automatic searching
The ProntoNet Decoder system doesn’t need to be configured as it is totally
automatic. However, it is necessary to point out some aspects of how it works as
it depends on the format of incoming data. The ProntoNet is able to synchronise
automatically to the following algorithms under the following conditions:
Algorithm
IP Codec
(NET = IP)
ISDN Codec
(NET = ISDN)
X21 Codec
(NET = X21)

G711
Only when the
communication is
between two
ProntoNet units.
The system detects
incoming calls such as
voice calls and
configures the Encoder
and Decoder to G711.

Needs G722 encoded
audio since it is
synchronised by means
of statistical framework.
It does not work if
encoder is
configured to aptX.
