Horizontal machine alignment - table tolerances
TABLE TOLERANCES
The tolerances listed in the table are the standard accepted values
based on the coupling type and machine sizes you entered in the
Dimensions and on the entered RPM value. Shown below is the Table
screen for "Excellent values" for a horizontal machine arrangement
with a spacer shaft:
Press TABLE TYPE to select between the following three options:
EXCELLENT VALUES: high tolerances for high precision and reliabili-
ty
ACCEPTABLE VALUES: tolerances for noncritical machines
USER-DEFINED VALUES: Enter your own tolerances based on manu-
facturer's data. See opposite page.
"50 Hz/60 Hz" selects different RPM increments with multiples/
fractions of either 3000 RPM (50 Hz) or 3600 RPM (60 Hz)
(Excellent and Acceptable values only).
The machine operating RPM must be entered: either enter the value
directly from the keypad or press EDIT and enter the RPM value. This
will then appear in a line below the table with its calculated
tolerances.
(The RPM value can also be entered in the Dimensions screen in the
box above the machine, but only if a tolerance mode has been
selected beforehand.)
OPTION takes you back to the different tolerance modes.
OK adopts the tolerance settings you have chosen and exits the
tolerance mode.

When the spacer shaft coupling
type is used, offset values are
directly dependent on the gap
(spacer) distance entered in the
Dimensions screen. If a gap dis-
tance of 100 mm had been used
instead of the 200 mm distance
used in this figure, the offset
values would be one half that of
the values shown here. This
applies only to spacer shafts.
