3. Mounting laser and receiver
Install the laser on the support posts of the bracket installed on the
shaft of the machine on your left (as viewed from normal working
position). Note: The cable should be permanently connected to the
receiver, also during storage, to save wear and tear on the compo-
nents.
Ensure that the yellow knobs on both components are loosened
enough to let you slide the housings onto the support posts.
Both laser and receiver should be at the same height, as low as
possible, yet just high enough for the beam to clear the coupling
flange as shown below.

Tighten the yellow knobs to lock the components onto the posts, then
remove the dust cap from the laser.
