3. Use the lower thumbwheel on the laser housing to adjust the
lateral position of the laser beam. The beam spot should now
strike the center of the cap covering the receiver aperture.

4. It is essential that the beam hits the receiver reasonably centrally
AND perpendicularly, i.e. straight-on (see discussion on opposite
page). This is particularly important with large machine mis-
alignments, and one way to check this is with the adjustment
tube (see below).
Fix the tube onto the receiver and direct the beam through the
front aperture. If the beam is not centered on the inner target, the
laser must be either moved along its support posts or the laser
mounting bracket loosened and rotated slightly. Make the
necessary adjustments to "straighten" the beam, then retighten
the fixings.
