3.11 Connecting the Control Unit
and Control Pendant
CAUTION
Direct or scattered radiation
Equipment Damage!
Do not expose the MULTIDOS, the TBA
CONTROL UNIT and the TBA CONTROL
PENDANT to direct radiation.
The devices should be installed in the treatment
room only for the duration of the measurement.
Do not leave them in the treatment room for pro-
longed periods of time to prevent damage due to
scattered radiation.
CAUTION

Erroneous Measurement!
In order to avoid influence of the radiation on the
measurement, position the MULTIDOS, the TBA
CONTROL UNIT and the TBA CONTROL
PENDANT as far from the radiation as possible.
Follow these steps to connect the TBA CONTROL
UNIT:
Front Panel
CONTROL PENDANT socket:
connection for TBA CONTROL PENDANT
NOTE
It is also possible to connect the TBA CONTROL
PENDANT at the junction box of the Perspex
tank (socket on the underside of the junction
box).
Please note that some of the control pendant
functions are available only when it is directly
connected to the junction box at the Perspex
tank (refer to the user manual of the control unit
and the control pendant). Therefore it is recom-
mended to connect the control pendant to the
junction box.
Rear Panel
DOSEMETER socket:
without function
Power supply:
connection for power cord.
RS232 socket:
connection of TBA CONTROL UNIT to COM-Server
(L991272) via interface cable (L178012).
MOVING MECHANISM sockets:
connection of control cable (T43164/K1) and motor
cable (T43164/K2) to junction box (T41013.1.100)
of Perspex tank
