display
YoucanconnectyourDSCVHFradiotoyourmultifunctiondisplay
andshowdistressmessageinformationandGPSpositiondatafor
othervessels.
ConnectingaDSCVHFradiotoyourmultifunctiondisplayprovides
thefollowingadditionalfunctionality:
DistressMessageswhenyourDSCVHFradioreceivesa
DSCmessageoralarmfromanotherDSCVHFradio-equipped
vessel,thevesselidentication(MMSI),GPSposition,andtime
ofdistressmessageisdisplayedonyourmultifunctiondisplay.
Youcanusethesoftkeysonyourmultifunctiondisplaytoclearthe
message,placeawaypointonthechartattheGPSpositionof
thedistressedvessel,orimmediatelystartnavigating(GOTO)to
theGPSposition.
PositionDatathe“PositionRequest”buttononyourDSCVHF
radioenablesyoutosendandreceiveGPSpositiondatatoand
fromothervesselsequippedwithaDSCVHFradio.
