Youcanexaggeratetheverticalsizeofobjectsonthe3Dchartto
makeiteasiertointerpretwhatyouareseeing.
Sometimesitiseasiertoseecertaintopographicalfeaturesifthey
areexaggerated.Adjustingtheexaggerationhastheeffectof
verticallystretchingobjectsonthechart,makingiteasiertosee
theirshapeandposition.Thiscouldbeparticularlyhelpfulifyou
areshing,forexample.

Youcanenhancetheuseofyourchartbycombiningitwiththe
followingradarfeatures:
•MARPA.
•Radaroverlay(fordistinguishingbetweenxedandmoving
objects).
UsingtheradartoviewMARPAtargetsonthechart
TheMiniAutomaticRadarPlottingAid(MARPA)functionisusedfor
targettrackingandriskanalysis.Whentheradaroverlayison,all
MARPAtargetsaredisplayedinthechartwindowandassociated
MARPAfunctionscanbeaccessedviathechart.
Usingradaroverlaytodistinguishbetweenxedandmoving
objects
Youcanoverlayradarimagedataoveryourchartimageallowing
betterdistinctionbetweenxedobjectsandothermarinetrafc.For
bestresults,switchonRadar-Chartsynchronizationtoensureradar
rangeandchartscalearesynchronized.
