ADDRESSING THE CONTROLLER
If the controller is to communicate on an MS/TP network, it must have a unique Media
Access Code (MAC). The MAC address must be in the range of 1–253.
There are two methods for setting the MAC address on a SMART-Space Controller.
METHOD #1 – RC-TOOLKIT BACNET MSET TOOL
When installing more then one SMART-Space Controller on a single network, it may be
convenient to enter multiple MAC addresses at once, using the RC-Toolkit
BACnet MSet
Tool, update 2.40, or later. Please refer to the RC-Toolkit section of this manual for detailed
instructions on the use of the BACnet MSet Tool.
