TOP AND FRONT OF ENGINE
Timing belt: Removal - Refitting

a Refit the gearbox side lifting eye.
a Fit the engine wiring.
a Refit the engine wiring nut on the gearbox side lifting
eye.
a Connect the turbocharger air outlet pipe.
a Torque tighten the clip of the turbocharger air
outlet pipe (6 N.m).
a Refit:
-the retaining bracket bolts on the turbocharger air
outlet pipe,
-the air pipe retaining bolt on the intake distributor.
a Clip on the petrol vapour rebreathing pipes.
a Remove:
-the right-hand suspended engine mounting cover,
-the blanking plugs.
a Connect:
-the petrol vapour rebreathing pipe,
-the fuel supply pipe to the injector rail,
-the pipe on the petrol vapour rebreathing solenoid
valve.
a Refit:
-the scoop under the scuttle panel grille (see Scoop
under scuttle panel grille: Removal - Refitting)
(56A, Exterior equipment),
-the scuttle panel grille (see Scuttle panel grille:
Removal - Refitting) (56A, Exterior equipment),
-the windscreen wiper arms (see Windscreen wi-
per arm: Removal - Refitting) (85A, Wiping -
Washing).
a Position the exhaust connecting hose.
a Refit:
-a new connecting hose seal,
-the rubber mounting bush retaining bolt on the ex-
haust hose,
-the exhaust connecting hose nuts.
a Fit the electric coolant pump.
a Refit:
-the lower engine tie-bar (see 19D, Engine moun-
ting, Lower engine tie-bar: Removal - Refitting,
page 19D-33) ,
-the crankshaft accessories pulley (see 11A, Top
and front of engine, Crankshaft accessories
pulley: Removal - Refitting, page 11A-15) ,
- the accessories belt (see 11A, Top and front of
engine, Accessories belt: Removal - Refitting,
page 11A-7) ,
- the radiator mounting cross member (see Radiator
support cross member: Removal - Refitting)
(31A, Front axle components),
-the front bumper (see Front bumper: Removal -
Refitting) (55A, Exterior protection),
- the front section of the front wheel arch liners (see
Front wheel arch liner: Removal - Refitting)
