TOP AND FRONT OF ENGINE
Camshaft dephaser: Removal - Refitting

a Fit a stud on the camshaft dephaser hub.
a Check that the camshaft dephaser hub is correctly
mechanically secured using a tubular hexagon box
spanner (the hub must not be able to rotate to the
left or right).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
-the camshaft dephaser,
-the camshaft dephaser bolt.
a Position the (Mot. 1801).
a Torque tighten the camshaft dephaser bolt (100
N.m).
a Fit a new blanking cover on the camshaft dephaser.
a Torque tighten the new blanking cover on the
camshaft dephaser (15 N.m).
a Remove the (Mot. 1801).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the timing belt (see 11A, Top and front of engine,
Timing belt: Removal - Refitting, page 11A-29) ,
- the right-hand suspended engine mounting (see
19D, Engine mounting, Right-hand suspended

19D-18) ,
- the scoop under the scuttle panel grille (see Scoop
