Camshaft seal at timing end: Removal - Refitting

a Remove:
-the collar nut from the (Mot. 1632),
-the cover from the (Mot. 1632),
-the stud of the (Mot. 1632),
-the protection sleeve.
3 - Continued for both methods
a Refit:
-the camshaft pulley,
-a new camshaft pulley nut.
a Undo the camshaft pulley hub bolts (21) .
a Fit the (Mot. 1606) on the cylinder head to lock the
camshaft pulley wheel.
a Tighten:
-the camshaft pulley hub bolts,
-to torque and angle the camshaft pulley nut (30
N.m + 86˚ ±±
±±
6˚.)
a Remove the tool (Mot. 1606).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Set the camshaft pulley hub using the tool (Mot.
1430).
a Refit:
- the timing belt (see 11A, Top and front of engine,
Timing belt: Removal - Refitting, page 11A-29) ,
- the right-hand suspended engine mounting (see
19D, Engine mounting, Right-hand suspended
engine mounting: Removal - Refitting, page
19D-18) ,
- the scoop under the scuttle panel grille (see Scoop
under scuttle panel grille: Removal - Refitting)
(56A, Exterior equipment),
- the scuttle panel grille (see Scuttle panel grille:
Removal - Refitting) (56A, Exterior equipment),
-the windscreen wiper arms (see Windscreen wi-
per arm: Removal - Refitting) (85A, Wiping -
Washing),
- the accessories belt (see 11A, Top and front of
engine, Accessories belt: Removal - Refitting,

- the engine undertray,

Note:
If the tool (Mot. 1430) does not fit, turn the cams-
haft pulley hub using an 18 mm offset spanner
to adjust the camshaft pulley hub.
