Inlet manifold: Removal - Refitting

REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a parts always to be replaced: Intake distributor
seal (10,07,01,07)
a Use SURFACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts
and ingredients for the repairwork) (04B, Consu-
mables - Products) to clean and degrease:
-the cylinder head joint face,
-the inlet manifold joint face if reused.
When replacing the inlet manifold
a Remove:
-the throttle valve bolts,
-the throttle valve,
-the throttle valve seal,
-the oil vapour heater bolt,
-the oil vapour heater,
-the oil vapour heater seals,
-the air inlet pressure sensor clip,
-the air inlet pressure sensor,
-the injector rail bolts,
-the injector rail,
-the injector seals.
a Always replace:
-the injector seals,
-the oil vapour heater seals,
-the throttle valve seal.
a Refit:
-new seals on the injectors,
-the injector rail on the new inlet manifold,
-the injector rail bolts.
a Torque tighten the injector rail bolts (10 N.m).
a Refit:
-the air inlet pressure sensor,
-the air inlet pressure sensor clip,
-new seals on the oil vapour heater,
-the oil vapour heater,
-a new seal on the throttle valve,
-the throttle valve.
a Torque tighten the throttle valve bolts (10 N.m).
II - OPERATION FOR REFITTING PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
-a new seal on the inlet manifold,
- the inlet manifold.
a Fit without tightening:
- the inlet manifold bolts,
- the cylinder head mounting bolt on the inlet mani-
fold.
a Tighten to torque:
- the inlet manifold bolts (25 N.m),
- the cylinder head mounting bolt on the inlet ma-
nifold (62 N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
- the bolt from the « compressor - expansion valve »
connecting pipe on the inlet manifold,
- the dipstick guide bolt,
- the bolt for the intercooler air outlet pipe.
a Connect:
- the throttle valve connector,
-the pressure sensor connector on the inlet mani-
fold,
- the pressure sensor connector at the intercooler
outlet,
-the air temperature sensor connector on the inter-
cooler air outlet pipe,
- the oil vapour rebreathing solenoid valve connec-
tor,
- the brake servo vacuum pipe,
- the oil vapour rebreathing pipe,
- the petrol vapour rebreathing pipe,
- the fuel supply pipe from the injector rail,
- the injector connectors.
a Refit:
- the intercooler air outlet pipe bolts,
- the retaining bolt of the intercooler air outlet pipe on
the inlet manifold,
- the engine cover.
