DIESEL INJECTION
Venturi: Removal - Refitting

a Remove:
-the Venturi bolt (3) ,
-the Venturi.
a Take care to ensure that no impurities get into the
high pressure pump once the Venturi is removed.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a
a Refit the venturi to the high pressure pump.
a Torque tighten the Venturi bolt (5.5 N.m).
a Remove the blanking plugs from:
-the diesel injector fuel return rail opening,
-the Venturi opening.
a Connect the fuel return rail to the Venturi.
a Remove the blanking plugs from:
- the opening of the diesel fuel return pipe union,
- the Venturi opening.
a Connect the diesel return pipe to the Venturi.
II - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit the turbocharger air outlet pipe (see 12B, Tur-
bocharging, Intercooler air inlet pipe: Removal -
Refitting, page 12B-41) .
a Start the engine.
a Check that there are no fuel leaks.
a Refit the engine cover.

WARNING
Do not blast with compressed air once the fuel
circuit is open, otherwise impurities may enter
the system. Only use cleaning cloths.
Note:
Do not lubricate the seals with grease or used
diesel fuel. Use the applicator provided in the kit
for the new part.
