DIESEL INJECTION
High-pressure pipe between the pump and rail: Removal - Refitting

a Fit the new high pressure pipe between the injector
rail and the high pressure pump.
a Screw on the nuts for the high pressure pipe
between the high pressure pump and the injector rail
by hand without tightening, starting at the injector rail
end.
a Using the tool (Mot. 1746), torque tighten the nuts
for the high pressure pipe between the high
pressure pump and the injector rail (28 N.m).
a Torque tighten the injector rail nuts (28 Nm).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit the injector rail protector.
a Fit the injection wiring.
a Refit the injection wiring bracket nut.
a Clip on the injection wiring clip.
a Connect:
-the connector for each diesel injector,
-all heater plug connectors,
-the connector for the fuel flow regulation solenoid
valve,
-the fuel temperature sensor connector,
-the injector rail pressure sensor connector.
a Refit:
-the injector rail protector cover,
-the injection rail protector cover bolt.
a Clip on the injector rail protector cover plate.
a Fit the dipstick guide tube.
a Refit:
-the dipstick guide bolts,
-the dipstick.
a Refit the turbocharger air outlet pipe (see 12B, Tur-
bocharging, Intercooler air inlet pipe: Removal -
Refitting, page 12B-41) .
a Connect the battery (see Battery : Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
a Refit the engine cover.
a Reprime the fuel circuit using the manual priming
pump.
a Check that there are no diesel leaks (see High pres-
sure pipe: Checking) .
