DIESEL INJECTION
High-pressure pipe between the rail and injector: Removal - Refitting
K9K, and 834

a Refit the dipstick.
a Clip the expansion bottle lower cooling hose onto
the alternator protector.
2 - Refitting one, two or three high pressure pipes
between the injector rail and the diesel injector
a Remove the blanking plugs from:
-the opening(s) of the injector rail,
-the opening of the diesel fuel injector(s).
a Refit the high pressure pipe(s) between the injector
rail and the new diesel fuel injector(s).
a Screw on the nuts for the high pressure pipe(s)
between the injector rail and the diesel injector(s) by
hand without tightening, starting on the injector rail
side.
a Using the tool (Mot. 1566), torque tighten the nuts
for the high pressure pipe(s) between the injec-
tor rail and the diesel injector(s) (28 N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit:
-the injector rail protector,
-the bolts for the injector rail protector cover plate.
a Clip the injector rail protector cover into place.
a Clip on the wiring for the damper valve.
a Refit the clip for the intercooler air outlet pipe.
a Clip on the intercooler air outlet pipe.
a Clip the turbocharger pressure sensor cable onto
the intercooler air outlet pipe.
a Connect the turbocharger pressure sensor connec-
tor.
a Refit:
-the retaining bracket for the intermediate air pipe
between the turbocharger and the intercooler,
-the bolt for the retaining bracket of the intermediate
air pipe between the turbocharger and the intercoo-
ler.
a Refit the clip for the turbocharger air outlet pipe.
a Clip the intermediate air pipe between the turbochar-
ger and the intercooler onto the turbocharger air out-
let pipe.
a Refit:
-the bolt for the intermediate air pipe between the
turbocharger and the intercooler,
- the nut for the intermediate air pipe between the
turbocharger and the intercooler,
- the engine cover.
a Connect the battery (see Battery : Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
