ANTIPOLLUTION
Exhaust gas recirculation assembly: Removal - Refitting

a Remove the tool (Ms. 583) on each cooling hose of
the exhaust gas cooler cover.
a Clip the hose of the turbocharging pressure regula-
tion solenoid valve onto the exhaust gas cooler co-
ver.
a Refit the air outlet pipe onto the air filter unit.
a Connect the air filter unit air outlet pipe to the turbo-
charger.
a Torque tighten the air filter unit air outlet pipe clip
on the turbocharger (5.5 N.m).
a Connect the air filter unit air outlet pipe to the air filter
unit.
a Torque tighten the clip of the air filter unit air out-
let pipe on the air filter unit (5.5 N.m).
a Clip the air flowmeter wiring onto the air filter unit air
outlet pipe.
a Refit the rigid exhaust gas recirculation pipe (see
14A, Antipollution, Exhaust gas recirculation ri-
gid pipe: Removal - Refitting, page 14A-30) .
a Refit:
-the air inlet metal tube fitted with new seals,
-the lifting eye on the timing end.
a Connect the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid val-
ve connector.
a Refit:
-the injector rail protector cover mounting,
-the injector rail protector cover.
a Clip the injector rail protector cover into place.
a Refit the damper valve (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Air
inlet flap: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-11) .
a Refit the oil vapour rebreathing valve.
a Connect the brake servo pipe union to the vacuum
pump.
a Refit the oil vapour rebreathing valve bracket.
a Fit the breather mounting on the gearbox.
a Refit the nut of the breather mounting on the gear-
box.
a Refit:
-the turbocharger air outlet pipe (see 12B, Turbo-
charging, Intercooler air inlet pipe: Removal -
Refitting, page 12B-41) ,
- the oil vapour rebreathing pipe.
a Connect the oil vapour rebreathing pipe:
- on the rocker cover,
- on the air filter box air outlet pipe.
a Connect the oil vapour rebreathing pipe to the oil va-
pour rebreathing valve.
a Fit the clip of the oil vapour rebreathing pipe on the
oil vapour rebreathing valve.
a Connect the oil vapour rebreathing pipe union to the
air filter unit air outlet pipe.
a Refit:
- the catalytic converter (see 19B, Exhaust, Cataly-
tic converter: Removal - Refitting, page 19B-17)
,
- the engine undertray,
- the engine cover.
a Connect the battery (see Battery : Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
a Fill and bleed the cooling system (see 19A, Coo-
ling, Cooling circuit: Draining - Refilling, page
19A-17) .
