• When removing jammed paper or replacing toner, avoid getting toner (new or used) on your
skin. If toner comes into contact with your skin, wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and
water.
• The print cartridge might need to be replaced even if there is toner remaining in it. This is due to
depletion or wear of other components.
• Do not shake or shock the print cartridge.
• When removing print cartridge, be careful not to drop it.
• Fault may occur if you use the print cartridge other than the recommended type.
• When replacing the print cartridge, do not turn off the operation switch. If you do, settings will be
lost.
• Store the print cartridge where it will not be exposed to direct sunlight, temperatures above 35 °C
(95 °F), or high humidity.
• Store the print cartridge on a flat surface.
• If "Replacement of Print Cartridge is now necessary." appears, replace the print cartridge.
• If "Replacement of Print Cartridge will soon be necessary." appears, have a replacement print
cartridge at hand.
• You can check the name of the required print cartridge and the replacement procedure using the
"Replace Print Cartridge" screen.
• Press [System Status] to check contact number where you can order supplies. See “Checking
Machine Status and Settings”, Troubleshooting.
