8. Hold the tray with both hands, slide it along the rails of the machine, and then push it
straight in.
9. Insert the power plug into the wall outlet securely.
10. Connect all the cables that were removed.
11. Turn on the main power.
• If a misfeed or multiple sheet feeding occur after cleaning the friction pad or paper feed roller,
contact your sales or service representative.
Cleaning the Registration Roller
This section describes how to clean the registration roller.
If the registration roller is dirty, a misfeed might occur or dots (caused by specks of paper stuck to the
roller) appear on printed OHP transparencies. In this case, clean the roller as follows:
• Be sure to turn off the power switch and wait for about 15 minutes before cleaning the
registration roller. Not waiting for the machine to cool down can result in a burn.
